Straky

Straky ( German Surfacing ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north-west of Nymburk and belongs to fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Straky is located on the River Vlkava, also referred to as Doubravka, on the Bohemian panel. To the west of the village lies the former military airfield Bozi Dar. Northeast of the railway runs from Nymburk to Mladá Boleslav, the same station is two and a half miles outside of the village. To the northwest lies the deserted village Mladá.

Neighboring towns are Všejany in the north, and Zavadilka Jizbice in the northeast, Krchleby in the east, Obora, Všechlapy and Čilec the southeast, Sibice, Hronetice and Kačerov in the south, Zbožíčko the southwest, Milovice and Bozi Dar in the west and Lipník in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Straky place in the year 1323. At that time the village belonged mostly Bartos of Valečov. During the 14th century Straky has been connected to the rule Dražice. After laying the manor house Straky belonged from 1526 to rule Benatek. In the Berni Rula 1654 35 economies are reported for Straky. In the 18th century, the village came to Loučeň. In 1713, 223 people lived in Straky.

After the abolition of patrimonial Straky formed in 1850 with the districts Zbožíčko and Kačerov 1850 a municipality in the district Poděbrady. Located northwest of the village built the k.u.k. Army in 1904 a military training area with shooting range and a large practice area at the site of the village Mladá. In 1914 there the POW camp Milowitz, in which up to its dissolution in 1916, 46,000 prisoners of war were interned. 1920 Zbožíčko became a separate parish. 1934 came Straky to fulltext your real estates. After the German occupation took over in 1939, the Wehrmacht Truppenübungsplatz Milowitz. This was taken over in 1945 by the Czechoslovakian army. The military area has been occupied by the invasion of the Warsaw Pact by the Soviets and from 1968 to 1991 was at Milovice a Soviet military training area and built in the 1970s military airfield Bozi Dar, whose test flight area led over the place. Between 1980 and 1991 Zbožíčko was again incorporated. In 1996, the revitalization of the military area. Straky today consists of 240 homes.
