Strandzha Commune

The Republic of beach damage ( Bulgarian Странджанска република ) was a " Republic " on 5 Augustjul. / August 18 1903greg. at the Transfiguration of the Lord Day (Bulgarian: Preobraschenie - day), was proclaimed during the Ilinden Uprising Preobraschenie against the Ottoman Empire from the Bulgarian Macedonia - Adrian Opeler Revolutionary Committee ( BMARK ) in the area Petrova Niva. Thus, the prelude to the uprising in eastern Thrace in the Ottoman Vilayet of Edirne ( Adrian Opel ) was added. Their territory included the beach Saddle Mountains and today's southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

The Republic chose Mikhail Gerdschikow, Stamat Ikonomow, Lasar Madscharow at their head. The beach damage Republic organized in the following 26 days the whole of public and economic life of the region until the uprising of regular and irregular associations of the Ottoman army was bloodily suppressed.
