Strašnická

Strašnická is an underground station of the Prague Metro Line A in Prague 10 County Strašnice. The metro station was opened on July 11, 1987, its construction cost 241.4 million crowns. The station is located 7.5 m below the road Starostrašnická.

There is only one access at the southern end of the station. From a small entrance hall with a newspaper stand, a staircase leads directly to the platform. For disabled a small inclined elevator with open platform is available. Escalators or elevators do not exist.

The interior of the station is paneled with dark brown tiles. Originally it was planned to reach an access also at the northern end. These would, however, buildings have to be demolished, to which it did not. Nevertheless, a staircase was built at the northern end of the station that is currently locked with a chain and leads to nowhere. This access will be possibly used at a later date.

In the tunnel behind the station are located out of town in the direction Skalka two sidings.
