Strato II and III

Straton II was an Indo - Greek king who ruled around 25 BC to 10 AD in the eastern Punjab.

Straton II seems to have been the last Indo- Greek rulers and certainly had to fight in his reign, especially with the Indo- Scythians. His coinage are considered the worst of the Indo- Greek rulers. He is now only known of these coins, on which sometimes his son Straton ( III.) Philopator appears, with which he ruled jointly accordingly. Its coins show on the back of Athena, on the front is the ruler as Soter, so called savior, which is probably more a wish than a fact expresses.

Straton II was probably defeated by the Indo- Scythian ruler Rajuvula, bringing the Indo- Greek kingdom came to an end. If the reconstruction of events is correct, then it is also the last ruler of the Hellenistic period.
