Street Dogs are a punk band from the U.S. city of Boston.

History

After Mike McColgan 1998, the folk - punk band Dropkick Murphys left, he founded four years later with a bassist, a guitarist and a drummer, the band Street Dogs. In the original line-up from 2002 Jeff Erna, the first drummer played the Dropkick Murphys.

About CMH / Crosscheck Records in 2003 her debut Savin Hill was released, with a mixture of punk, folk and reggae, which is also reflected in all future releases of the band. Two years later, followed by the album Back To The World, which was released on Brass Tacks Records, which is owned by the band members. On this album, Marcus Hollar is represented rather than Rob Guidotti on guitar. Moreover played on this album Joe Sirois, the former drummer of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones instead of Jeff Erna. Only a year later after the engagement of the young guitarist Tobe Bean III Album Fading American Dream was released. Thereafter, drummer Joe Sirois moved back to his original band, and Paul Rucker got in on drums. In 2008, the album State Of Grace was released via Hellcat Records. It includes more traditional Irish bonds, as the more focused on street punk albums before. Finally, 2010 is the most versatile album of the Street Dogs released on Hellcat Records. This album can be seen as a compilation of all the musical and thematic content of the Street Dogs.

Style

The lyrics are not as clear to the working class -oriented as the texts of the Dropkick Murphys, they usually act of friendship and solidarity.
