To withdrawing (Hungarian Sztrigy, German Strell or Strey ) is a river in the district of Hunedoara in Transylvania, Romania.

The river begins in Sureanu Mountains ( Munţii Sureanu ) at the confluence of the two source streams Pârâul Cald and Pârâul Rovinei, and flows Simeria ( fishing village ) in the Mureş ( Maros ).

The upper river also called Raul Petros, flows up above the village Baru ( Gross- Elephant ) in southwestern direction. After the mouth of the Crivadia before Baru in the Strei, it flows southwest of the Sureanu Mountains in northwestern direction. From the municipality Sântămăria - Orlea ( Our Lady ) in the historical region Hatzeger country to withdrawing flows to its confluence with the Mureş, in northern direction. Tributaries of the Strei are the Sas, the Jigureasa, the Crivadia, the Ohaba, the Raul Mare, the Gânţaga, the Luncani, the Făgetul, the Nadastia, Raul uva Râpelor

Along the Strei leads in a north-south direction Simeria Baru to the European Route 79

The stories say, is in the riverbed of the Sagretia - probably the Strei - the treasure of Decebalus have been hidden by the Romans after the conquest of Dacia raised under Trajan.
