Strendur
Strendur ( Danish name: Beaches ) is a place of the Faroe Islands in the south of the island Eysturoy.

Strendur is the largest place of Sjóvar municipal and lies at the southern tip of a peninsula at the entrance to the sound between Eysturoy Streymoy and the west and the longest Faroese fjord, the Skálafjørður in the east.
The typical Faroese wooden church with a grass roof dates from 1834 and, together with the investor the center of the village.
In Strendur is not just a fish fillet factory, but with Snældan one of the wool processing textile company in the Faroe Islands, which produces both traditional and current fashion wool, is not only domestic sales.
