Streptoprocne biscutata

The two smaller species of the genus, Phelps and Rothalssegler, are a special case, with its bright orange collar in adult plumage at the sailors. These two species were formerly attributed to the genus Cypseloides.

A very showy plumage feature is the collar, with the three major types it is white, with the two small it is orange.

The most difficult to distinguish members of the genus are Cypseloides. When visibility is good, the distinction is quite simple due to the plumage characters, only the chest spot sailors also has white plumage shares in the chest. In the height of the wings of the Streptoprocne species look longer and wider, and the tail appears wider.
