Streymnes

Streymnes [ stɹɛmne ː s] (Danish: Strømnæs ) is a place of the Faroe Islands on the east coast of the island Streymoy.

Streymnes belonged to 31 December 2004 on the now defunct commune Hvalvík, just south of the adjacent place on the same stretch of coastline along the sound between Streymoy and Eysturoy.

In Gjánoyri at Streymnes Norwegians built in 1893 a whaling station, which ceased its operation in 1927.
