The Striped Frogfish (Antennarius striatus ) lives in the Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea to Japan, New Zealand and the Society Islands and from South Africa to Hawaii, in depths of 10 to 200 meters in rocky and coral reefs

Appearance

The animals have a different appearance depending on their habitat. You can have a yellow, brown or red color and show numerous dark streaks and stains. Besides serving numerous skin outgrowths of camouflage, the fish that live in algae stocks, longer than animals from other habitats. Striped frogfish are 22 inches long.

Reproduction

Striped Angler fish spawn at night. The eggs make a rolled-up 1.3 mm thick strip, which consists of two layers of eggs and, after being swelled, it can be from 7 to 11 inches wide and 40 to 80 centimeters long. It contains 70000-300000 eggs. After two days, the eggs released from the band, the larvae hatch and swim after eight days, when the yolk sac has been depleted, free.
