Strobilation

Under strobilation (also: Strobilisierung ) is understood in zoology a type of asexual reproduction by spontaneous constriction in segments of the body ( strobila ). The strobilation comes with the new generation of certain cnidarians, the screen Jellyfish ( Scyphozoa ), above.
