Strokkur

The Strokkur ( German churn ) is a geyser in Iceland. It is located next to the Great Geysir seldom erupting in Heißwassertal Haukadalur in the municipality of Bláskógabyggð in the south of the island. His outbreaks occur regularly at intervals of 3 to 5 minutes and sometimes up to three times in quick succession. The boiling water column of the Strokkur reaches a height of 25 to 35 meters.

The Haukadalur with its geysers belongs next to Þingvellir and Gullfoss Waterfall on the Golden Circle, where the main attractions are located in the south of Iceland.
