Stu Nahan

Stu Nahan ( born June 23, 1926 in Los Angeles, California, USA, † December 26, 2007 ) was an American sports commentator and actor.

Life and career

Born in the USA, he moved at the age of two years with his mother to Canada, where he began with ice hockey. He attended McGill University in Montreal and played as a goalkeeper in hockey team of the University. In 1946 he signed a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League.

After the end of his active sports career, he said, a character in a daily cartoon series in children's television of Sacramento. In addition, he began to work as a sports commentator. Soon he worked for numerous local television stations in California as a sports commentator, among other things, KABC (1968-1977), KNBC (1977-1986) and KTLA ( 1988-1999 ).

He stepped in numerous films and series as newscaster or sports commentator on, including in the six Rocky films, Private Benjamin, Baywatch - The Baywatch and Sabrina - totally bewitched.

On December 26, 2007, he died of cancer. He was married and had three children.

Awards

He was given a star on the Walk of Fame.
