Stuart Heisler
Stuart Heisler ( born September 5, 1894 in Los Angeles, California; † August 21, 1979 ) was an American film director.
Life
Stuart Heisler began his professional career in film at the production company Famous Players, and then went through in rapid succession more companies like Fox Film Corporation, First National and Goldwyn Picture Corporation. Activities in the prop followed by other areas of responsibility, for several years the film section and 1936 for the first time a director job. " Heisler was considered a veteran without too many claims, but of some technical skill. " He specialized in adventure and gangster films and westerns. From the mid- 50s Heisler worked almost exclusively for television.
