Stuart Little 2

Stuart Little 2 is an American comedy film directed by Rob Minkoff from the year 2002. The film is a sequel to the film Stuart Little in the year 1999.

Action

After the adventures of the first film two years have passed. Stuart's human mother is now very anxious about his recent adventures on his security and restricted almost everything, especially as Stuart at a football game just barely escapes an injury. And as Stuart further tinkering alone on an aircraft model of George, there is again an accident, as Stuart abruptly lifts off the plane and flies out the window. The flight ends in a crash landing in Central Park. George is naturally acidic over the destroyed model, it throws in a bin and turns his human friends.

Stuart feels left alone, but can save shortly afterwards from the way back from school the canary Margalo before the attack of a falcon. He offers him to move in with him and the Little family. A short time later, missing Stuarts human mother Eleanor a valuable ring and Stuart suspects, who had fallen into the drain. It can be with a " rope" down the tube, but this tears and Stuart threatens to plunge into the sewer system. Since Margalo flies to the rescue and saves him.

As Margalo disappears without a trace, thinks Stuart Little, Margalo had been abducted from the falcon. He discusses the problem with his human brother George, who covers the subsequent rescue operation and thereby reaches for the first time to his parents to a lie. Stuart and the domestic cat Snowbell embark on the search for the bird. Learn from the alley cat Monty, that the nest of evil falcon is on the tip of the Pishkin Buildings. On the roof Stuart arrives with a balloon and is as surprised by the Hawks, who enlightens him that Margalo working with him and the alleged attack has only served that Margalo is included in the Little family to spy on the house to steal. Then he throws Stuart over the edge and locks Margalo in a paint can.

Snowbell is finally arrives on the roof, Margalos hears cries for help and can free them. The waste is transported to a ship on a garbage island and finding a way to escape, Stuart comes abruptly to the discarded by George aircraft model. He can repair it hastily and flies to Central Park, where he arrives just in time to save Margalo from an attack of the Hawk. The hawk comes by plane together, tangled in the propeller, Stuart falls out and can be picked up by Margalo. Falcon aircraft and land now in the trash, where the alley cat Monty enjoys a windfall Snack faces.

Margalo goodbye to the Little family and joins other birds departing to the south. But next summer she will return.

Kenneth Turan praised the Los Angeles Times July 19, 2002 the images were made with the use of the camera Spydercam. You would create the feeling of flying birds. The characters of Mr and Mrs Little had such a "massive goofy " ( " toweringly sappy " ) that they can not possibly be played well, but there was no excuse for Hugh Laurie and Geena Davis, that these figures would seem less real than the animations.

The lexicon of international film wrote the comedy lacks the " enigmatic charm of the previous film ." The "Material battles " were " child-friendly ".

Awards

The film was nominated in 2002 for a BAFTA Award, and in 2003 for a Golden Trailer Award and the Young Artist Award. For the special effects he won the 2003 Visual Effects Society Award and was nominated in another category for the same price.

In 2005, Stuart Little 3, which was a direct-to- DVD production followed. The film did not reach even close to the success of its predecessor. This is only a cartoon without real actors.
