Stuart N. Lake

Stuart N. Lake ( born September 23, 1889 in Rome, New York, † January 27, 1964 in San Diego, California ) was an American author who primarily dealt with the so-called "Wild West".

His most famous work is the 1931 Frontier Marshal published biography about Wyatt Earp, which established the legend of these gunslingers prevail. The biography is based on stories of the 80 -year-old Earp, the Lake (apparently unaudited) presented in audience appeal form and thus fundamentally contributed to the now valid stereotype of the Wild West to further substantiate that already by several dime novels, especially about by Ned Buntline Buffalo Bill had been built in the 1870s.
