Stuart James Taylor ( born November 28, 1980 in Romford ) is an English footballer.

Career

In the club

Taylor began his career in 1997 as a replacement keeper for the former goalkeeper David Seaman at Arsenal. The goalkeeper stood from 1997 to 2005 at the Londoners under contract. During this time he became the Bristol Rovers (1999), Crystal Palace (2000), Peterborough United ( 2001) and Leicester City (2004/ 05) awarded. Taylor played a total of 18 appearances for the men from Highbury Stadium. After Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia signed for the Gunners in 2003 and 2004, Taylor had no choice as the club in 2005 into Birmingham to leave Aston Villa. He was there second goalkeeper behind the Dane Thomas Sorensen.

National

Taylor played in 1999 for the English U -20 team at the FIFA World Youth Championship with today's greats like Peter Crouch or Ashley Cole. Moreover, he was called up three times in the English U-21 national team.
