Geographical Location

Office is located in the mountain region of Rottal -Inn, district of Lower Bavaria, in a small side valley of the Inn River about 8 km northeast of Simbach and 9 miles from Braunau, 21 km south-west of the county town parish churches and 25 km south-west of Pocking. History

First holder of the village office mountain were the Closen from which detectable named a branch in 1401 after Stubenberg. In 1512, the Closen sold the closed Hofmark Stubenberg to Baumgarten, who owned the Hofmark Prienbach in 1560. But the place was part of the Electorate of Bavaria. From 1722 flourished in Stubenberg temporarily a pilgrimage. The castle was destroyed in 1743 in the War of Austrian Succession and stopped completely in 1800. Only one tower remaining piece, which was incorporated into a farmhouse, was preserved. In 1800, the Stubenberger songbooks emerged with spiritual and secular songs. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was created with the congregation of 1818, the current community. The administrative community with Ering is a result of local government reform in the years 1970 to 1972.

Culture and sights
