The Stückemarkt is committed to a theater festival for advanced forms of authorship in the context of the Berlin Theatre Meeting and for the sustainable promotion of previously unknown theater languages ​​and pioneering piece of developments.

History

The Stückemarkt was founded in 1978 and is the oldest funding initiative for contemporary drama in Germany. The festival within the festival was continued from 1986 to 2002 by Klaus peoples. Winners of the last years

The Stückemarkt gives two prizes: the Dürr from the Heinz and Heide Foundation donated New Playwriting (endowed with 5,000 euros ) and presented in collaboration with the Federal Agency for Civic Education work commissioned by the tt Stückemarkt ( 7,000 euros ), both at a world premiere a well-known theater.
