Students for the Exploration and Development of Space

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space ( SEDS abbreviated ) is an international, independent organization supported by students, whose goal is to promote the exploration of space and space-related projects. This is done by imparting knowledge concerning space, space research and space to awaken by supporting the networking among interested students and through participation in relevant projects with the goal of enthusiasm for space-related activities.

SEDS was founded in 1980 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at the universities of Princeton and Yale. The organization is divided into sub- associations ( chapter ), which operate relatively independently. Such chapters currently exist in India, Canada, Israel, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, the Philippines, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
