Stuffed peppers

Stuffed peppers (Hungarian paprika töltött, Croatian / Serbian punjena paprika, Bulgarian пълнени чушки / palneni tschuschki ) is a traditional dish of the Austrian, Hungarian and Balkan cuisine and probably originates from the Pannonian region.

For the preparation using cored and peeled peppers. As wealth is mixed risotto with mushrooms and ham. They are then cooked in tomato sauce. Typical preparation is braising in the oven or in a closed pot.

Variants

  • A common variant is stuffed peppers with ground beef. For this one fills the fruits with a spicy mince, fry them and exhales it in a tomato or gravy.
  • Ardei Umpluţi - For the Romanian variant prepares the mince of beef and pork and mix in some rice.
  • Boston Art - Small fruits for filled with crab meat, then breaded and fried
