Stump (drawing)

Estompe ( fr.: Paper Stomp ), colloquially known as cheating noodle, is a composed of a rolled leather or blotting paper, pen -like, down the pointed character device, the at coal, pencil, chalk and pastel drawings for the manufacture of shadows and transitions and trituration tones is used.

Another variant of the Estompe is the tortillon. This is not quite as tightly wound, shorter and hollow inside.
