Stung Treng

Stung Treng ( official transcription: Stoeng Trêng ) is the capital of the province of Stung Treng in the northeast of Cambodia within the same district. The city is situated on the south bank of the River Tonlé San ( Sesan ), about a kilometer above its confluence with the Mekong River, and has 29 665 inhabitants (calculated 2009).
