The tube station is located at kilometer 16.7 of Gäubahn and is a station in the network of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. Operationally he is a part of the station Stuttgart -Vaihingen.

History

When the Royal Württemberg State Railways opened the Gäubahn from Stuttgart to Freudenstadt in September 1879 saw many inhabitants tube only disadvantage of the new means of transport. Some farmers were expropriated for the track construction and the railway would only noise and stench. But when the neighboring village of Vaihingen industrialization began and the commuters from tube used the local train station, we also recognized the advantage.

Railway operation
