Subclavius muscle

The subclavian muscle (Latin for " subclavian muscle " ) originates on the sternum at the level of the first rib and runs along the underside of the clavicle ( collarbone ) in a bone trough ( sulcus musculi subclavii ).

First, it stabilizes the clavicle to the sternum and on the other he draws the clavicle in front and down. It cushions the subclavian artery and vein, and the brachial plexus against the clavicle. The blood supply is via the superior thoracic artery.

Clinic
