Submerged is an American action film directed by Anthony Hickox with Steven Seagal in the lead role.

Action

In South America, an ambassador is shot by a Secret Service agent. Apparently the agent brainwashed been subjected, as well as other members of the CIA and the U.S. military. Mastermind behind this obvious conspiracy is a certain Arian Lehder, who runs a secret research laboratory under a huge dam. To stop the mad scientist, the CIA must consult the best individual fighters in the world: Chris Cody. But sitting stupidly just in prison. The CIA promises Chris the full rehabilitation, should he be able to put Lehder the craft. With a nuclear submarine and a group of former prison inmates Cody embarks on his deadly mission in which he can bring Lehder eventually to the track.

Background

The direct-to- DVD production was filmed from August to September, 2004 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Even before the U.S. release on May 31, 2005, the movie was released on May 6 in the Bulgarian television. In Germany he appeared on 19 July 2005 on DVD.
