Sudbury Wolves (EPHL)

The Sudbury Wolves were a Canadian ice hockey franchise of the Eastern Professional Hockey League of Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

History

The Sudbury Wolves were founded in 1951 as a franchise of the Northern Ontario Hockey Association. In this she played for six years, before the Ontario Hockey Association joined, at the Seniors Championship they participated for two seasons. For the season 1959/60, the Sudbury Wolves changed in the inaugural round of the Eastern Professional Hockey League. In this they acted from 1960 to 1962 per a year as a farm team of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League.

Following the 1962/63 season the league was disbanded and the Sudbury Wolves stopped the game operation. Since 1972, an eponymous team plays in the Ontario Hockey League.
