Geography

The area of the velvet municipality Suderburg lies in the southwestern part of the district of Uelzen in the city triangle Hamburg - Hannover - Braunschweig. The Gerdau and the Hardau flow through the Municipality. The area is affected by the federal highways 4, 191 and 71 and from the train Hannover - Hamburg.

Samtgemeinderat

The Samtgemeinderat consists of 18 councilors and the mayor directly elected Samtgemeinde. It is composed of the following parties or voter communities:
