Sudmerberg is west of the mountain of the same name, 354 m high inner-city suburb of Goslar am Harz. It lies between Goslar and Bad Harzburg on the B6 and a population of 2000.

History

In April 1935, the Council of the City of Goslar approved the development plan for the area Sudmerberg. 1936 relative the first citizens their homes. During the Second World War, the building rested. From 1948, many refugee families found their new accommodation in Sudmerberg. In anticipation of many new residents of the construction of the Sudmerbergschule was decided in that year, which was inaugurated in 1950.
