Sue Gardner

Life

Gardner grew up in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada. Her father is an Anglican priest and school principal. From 1987 to 1990 she studied journalism at Ryerson University. Sue Gardner began her career in 1990 at the Canadian Radio Stations Broadcasting Corporation CBC As It Happens program. More than ten years she worked as a producer, reporter and documentary for CBC Radio and specializing in pop culture and social Newsworld International.

On March 27, 2013 Sue Gardner announced to want to step back in about half a year. At the same time, she stated that she wanted to do more to a free and open Internet, either through the establishment of a non-profit organization, lobbying or writing a book.
