Sui, Balochistan

Sui is a place in Pakistan ( Balochistan province ).

Geography

Sui is located about 650 kilometers north of Karachi.

The town is the capital of the eponymous Tehsils in the northwest of the district of Dera Bugti. The Tehsil is divided into the Union Councils Gandoi, Gulzar, Loti and Sui.

Economy

Early 1950s began the economic rise of the city, as one of the world's largest natural gas fields discovered in Sui. The natural gas production began in 1955 as one pipeline to Hyderabad, Karachi and Sukkur moved. 1958 Multan was connected to the line, and later Lahore, Faisalabad and 1970, finally Hatar. In addition, the natural gas used as feedstock for fertilizer production.
