Suifenhe

Suifenhe (绥芬河 市, Suifenhe Shì ) is a county-level city in the southeastern part of China's Heilongjiang Province to the administrative territory of the prefecture-level city of Mudanjiang. It is located on the Russian border, about 150 kilometers north-northwest of Vladivostok. Suifenhe has an area of 427 km ² and around 150,000 inhabitants, of which almost 70,000 with registered main residence.

Administrative Divisions

At the community level, Suifenhe is composed of two major communities. These are:

  • Suifenhe (绥芬河 镇), the capital, seat of the city government;
  • Funing (阜宁 镇).

Others

The eponymous river Suifen He (绥芬河) flows through the urban area. There is a rail link in the Russian city Ussurijsk (Russian Уссурийск; earlier Nikolskoje, Voroshilov ) in the south of the Russian Primorye.
