Suizen-ji Jōju-en

Suizenji Park (in Japanese水 前 寺 成 趣园, Suizenji Jōjuen ) is a convertible garden from the Edo period in Kumamoto City, Japan.

The Park

The park was by Prince Hosokawa Tadatoshi (细 川 忠 利; 1586-1641 ) in 1636 created. It is named suizen -ji after the defunct Buddhist temple. The park is built around a large pond, on the east side of the 53 stations are shown as coastal strip. Prominent projects out the replica of Mount Fuji, to represent its hillside trees clouds.

The garden was in 1929 by the Ministry of Culture as " Historic and beautiful scenic natural monument" (史迹 名胜 天然 记念 物, Shiseki meisho antennas kinenbutsu ) excellent.
