Sukhirin District

Amphoe Sukhirin ( Thai: อำเภอ สุคิริน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southern province of Narathiwat. The Narathiwat province is located southeast of Southern Thailand, on the border with Malaysia.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from north-west clockwise): Amphoe the Chanae, Ra Ngae, Su- ngai Padi and Waeng Narathiwat province. In the south of the State of Kelantan is from Malaysia.

History

On March 1, 1977 Sukhirin first as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the Tambon Mamong and Sukhirin were separated from Amphoe Waeng. January 21, 1986 Sukhirin received the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Sukhirin is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 41 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Sukhirin is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Sukhirin, Mamong and Kia. There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
