Sukth ( Albanian: Sukthi ) is a large village north-east of Durres in Albania and western headquarters of the eponymous Bashkia, in addition Sukth still includes five other neighboring towns. The Bashkia has according to sources 16,516 ( 2011 census ) to 24,526 inhabitants (2008 ).

The village is separated by the ores in two districts, namely, in an older and a newer ( Alb. Sukth i Ri ). Sukth is located about three kilometers north of the historic market town of Shijak middle of the plain of Durres. The Adriatic Sea is only seven kilometers away.

South of the town leads the main road connecting Durres and Tirana, the Albanian capital. At a distance of approximately 600 meters parallel are the railway line of HSH and the National Road SH2 by Sukth. The SH2 is at Sukth on the track Durres - Vora also the A1 motorway connects the Durres with Kosovo.

To Bashkia Sukth next to the main town includes the villages of Hamallaj, Kulla, Perlat, Vadardha and Rrushkull. Mayor since the 2011 elections for the legislative period 2011-2015 Sherif Fortuzi (PD). He is also a member as mayor in Qark Council of Durres.

Since the early 1990s, the community recorded a strong immigration of people mainly from the northern and eastern parts of Albania.
