Sulayman S. Nyang

Sulayman S. Nyang ( born August 12, 1944 in Gambia) is a professor of African studies at Howard University in Washington, DC, United States.

Life

Born in Gambier in 1964 went to Britain and a year later in the United States, where he at the Hampton University with a BA Earned degrees in political science and philosophy. The M. A. in Public Administration, he obtained at the University of Virginia, where he also received his doctorate. From 1975 to 1978 he was deputy ambassador to Saudi Arabia. He has worked as a consultant for the Smithsonian Institution.
