Suldal is a municipality in the northeast in the Norwegian Rogaland. The administrative center is located in the sand.

Since started in the 1960s, the expansion of hydroelectric power plants, has become of Suldal one of the major energy-producing municipalities in Norway. The proportion of the total energy production in Norway amounted to 8%. The damming of rivers has led to major interventions in nature, but also means a strong income for the municipality.

The salmon Suldalslågen was pulled through the expansion affected, in the last few years, the salmon, however, are returned.
