Sultan Azlan Shah Cup

The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup is a tournament for hockey 's national teams of men. It was named after Azlan Shah, the former king of Malaysia. The tournament is held annually and is an important part of the international hockey event calendar. The competition is held in the capital Kuala Lumpur usually in the Bukit Jalil National Stadium. However, the discharge in recent years has been mostly performed in Ipoh in the state of Perak.

For the first time this competition was held in 1983. First winner was then Australia. Germany could win the title so far in 1987 and 2001. In the discharged annually since 1999 tournament Australia is record winner.
