Sultan Iskandar Reservoir

The Sultan Iskandar reservoir ( Malaysian Air Takungan Sultan Iskandar Sultan Iskandar or Empangan for dam ) is an artificial lake east of the provincial capital of Johor Bahru in the state of Johor to the south of the Malay Peninsula. The lake is about 5 km long and 2.5 km wide and strong branches. It is fed by several small rivers that flow into long tributaries, and drains via the Sungai Layang in the Sungai Johor. It is named after Mahmud Iskandar Ismail, the reservoir, the 8th King of Malaysia.
