Suman Deodhar

Suman Deodhar ( * 1920, married Suman Athavale ) is a former Indian badminton player. She is the daughter of the Indian cricket legend Dinkar Balwant Deodhar. Tara Deodhar and Sunder Deodhar are her sisters.

Career

Suman Deodhar won in 1946 for the first time an Indian title. She won it in women's doubles with her sister Sunder Deodhar. In 1947, she won international participation in the championships again the doubles title and the title in mixed doubles with the Dane Madsen days. In 1951, she was again successful in duplicate and also the first time followed by another win in the single 1954 in doubles.
