Sumitomo Rubber Industries

The company Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd.. is a Japanese company in the manufacture of tires and rubber products. The company was founded in 1909 by the Group of Sumitomo Group to produce bicycle tires. Today the company tennis rackets, car tires, tennis balls, golf balls and various other rubber products are made.

1981 Sumitomo achieved worldwide annual sales of 530 million dollars and had a global market share of 1.8 percent.

At Sumitomo Rubber Industries was also from 1983, the company Dunlop, which is now run jointly with the company Goodyear in a joint venture.
