The Summer Lake is a shallow salt lake in Lake County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The lake is 32 km long, 16 km wide and up to 9 m deep. The water surface has a height of 1289 m above sea level. M.. The water is extremely alkaline.

The lake was mapped and named in 1843 by John Charles Fremont. He is today along with the nearby Albert Lake, the remnant of prehistoric Lake Chewaucan, at the end of the last ice age covered large parts of central Oregon in the Pleistocene. Around the lake and marsh area is with many species of birds and other wildlife. It lies in the catchment area of ​​endorheic Great Basin. In the Paisley Caves south-east of the lake in its basin 14,300 years old human remains were found, belonging to the most important evidence of the beginnings of the settlement of America.
