Summer Triangle

The Summer Triangle is a simple but distinctive constellation in the northern night sky that can be seen very well in the summer months. It is not an official constellation in the sense of the IAU but an asterism.

The formation consists of the stars

• Vega in Lyra
• Deneb in Cygnus
• (Also called Atair ) Altair in the Eagle
