Dream of my life (OT: Summer Time) is the title of an American romantic drama from 1955.
Action
Jane Hudson, a single middle-aged woman from Ohio, fulfilled her life's dream and travels to Venice. There she meets the street boys Mauro know who leads them through the city. Here, she makes the acquaintance of the antiques dealer Renato de Rossi and falls in love with him. Renato courting her, but then she finds out that he is married. He assured her, however, that he is separated from his wife. Renato and Jane spend a happy time together, but then Jane decides to go home.
Background
The film is based on the award- winning stage play The Time of the Cuckoo by Arthur Laurents. In the wake of the shooting to Katharine Hepburn conjunctivitis moved to, which she suffered the rest of their lives.
Awards
The film was nominated in the categories of Best Director and Best Actress Oscar. He received further nominations for the British Film Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Foreign Actress.
