Summit County (Utah)
Summit County is a county located in the state of Utah in the United States. The the county seat ( county seat ) is Coalville. The largest town in the county is Park City.
Geography
The Summit County has an area of 4874 square kilometers (1882 mi ²), of which 28 square kilometers of water. It borders the counties: Uinta County ( Wyoming), Sweetwater County ( Wyoming), Daggett County, Duchesne County, Wasatch County, Salt Lake County, Morgan County and Richmond County.
History
Summit County was founded in 1854. It was named after the large number of hills. Therefore, it was named so because of the 39 highest mountains of Utah are here.

According to the census of 2000, there were 29 736 people in Summit County. There were 10,332 households, and 7,501 families. The population density was 6 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 91.80 % White, 0.24 % African American, 0.31 % Native American, 0.96 % Asian, 0.04 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 5.43% from other races groups; 1.21% were descended from two or more races. 8.09% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 10,332 households out of which 40.80 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 63.50 % were married couples living together, 6.20 % had a female householder with no husband. 27.40% were non-families. 18.40 % of all households and 3.20% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.87 and the average family size was 3.30 persons.
Based on the county the population was spread out with 29.80 % under the age of 18, 8.40 % from 18 to 24, 34.00 % from 25 to 44 years, 22.90 % between 45 and 64 years and 4.90% were 65 years old or older. The average age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 108.30 males to 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.30 males.
The median income for a household was $ 64,962, and the median income for a family was $ 72,510. Males have a median income of $ 47,236, women $ 28,621. The per capita income was $ 33,767. 5.40% of the population and 3.00% of families are below the poverty line. 5.60 % of those under age 18 and 3.90 % were 65 years or older.
