Sumo people

The Mayangna (also known as Sumo or Sumo ) are an indigenous people in Central America.

The Mayangna are located on the east coast of Nicaragua and Honduras, an area known as the Mosquito Coast. Their language belongs to the family of Misumalpan. For several centuries the Mayangna be displaced in their traditional areas of the Miskito.
