Sun (German band)

Sun is a native of Monchengladbach German rock band with English lyrics. They had their commercial peak in the early to mid -1990s and were considered the German answer to Pearl Jam and Tool. Sun became well-known through the two albums XXXX and Nitro, by the numerous contributions on compilations such as Crossing all over and through the use of non- conventional rock instruments, like a flute on XXXX. The band was founded by singer Jörg Schröder, guitarist and drummer Ralf Außem Bogdan Skowronek. To date, and numerous line-up changes later, the group released seven recordings. However, the last work of Sun is no longer in a powerful, guitar-based tradition of the previous albums and presents itself as a rather quiet keyboard -heavy pop.

After this CD commercially not leading the band to new successes, Jörg Schröder left the band and joined the band Hobbyboy.
