Sun Is Shining

Sun Is Shining ( to German as " the sun shines " ) is a song by Jamaican reggae musician Bob Marley and his band, The Wailers.

There are two versions of this album songs. The original two-minute version with the key of E minor was released on the album African Herbsman (1973). A second version took Marley in 1977 in exile in London, which was released on the album Kaya (1978). However, this five-minute version has, strangely enough, the key of E flat minor. There are so far two concerts Marley's known was to which Sun Is Shining played at the beginning: in Lenox, Massachusetts, and in Santa Barbara, California, (both 1978). The tone of the two live versions was again in E minor.

1999, a dance remix of the song by the Danish DJ Funkstar De Luxe was published; the song reached number one on the U.S. dance charts and became a summer hit. Funkstar De Luxe took to the vocal part from the Marley's original version and put it with a Dancemix; the key is also in E minor.
