Sun Yefang

Sun Yefang (Chinese孙冶方/孙冶方, Pinyin Sun Yefang; * 1908, † February 22, 1983 in Beijing) was a Chinese politician and economist. His real name is Xue Eguo (薛 萼 果, Xue Èguǒ ).

Sun was from 1957 director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1964 he was deposed and imprisoned from 1968 to 1975 as " revisionist ". He worked in the prison on to a critique of the Maoist Economics and the broad economic reform, which anticipated the chosen course after 1978 in many ways.
