Suncoast Suns

The Suncoast Suns were an American ice hockey franchise of the Eastern Hockey League and Southern Hockey League from Saint Petersburg, Florida.

History

The St. Petersburg Sun were recorded in 1971 as an expansion team in the Eastern Hockey League. After one year, the team changed its name to Suncoast Suns. The Suncoast Suns were taken after the temporary dissolution of the Eastern Hockey League for the 1973/74 season as one of six founding team in the Southern Hockey League. The team set due to financial problems after only 31 games the game mode back on and was able to win only seven of those games.
